NHL Puck Drop 1/20

Please note:  The NHL has postponed all Carolina Hurricane games through Jan 23 due to players testing positive for COVID-19.

NHL Puck Drop will be a quick list of my favorite players, line stacks and bets for single day NHL slates. This will be updated as news is released.

I mostly play cash games (Double-ups and 50/50).  I use the stacks for GPPs, mostly single entry tournaments..

Players are typically in order of price on DK.  Stacks are single team stacks.  One strategy is to “run back” a player from the opposing team, if you think the game will be a shootout.

Betting is Moneyline unless otherwise noted.

General thoughts

We did well yesterday, especially in Cash.  Detroit, Florida and Winnipeg all came through for us.  Let’s see if we can keep it up.

Tonight we have a 5 game slate.  The Marquee matchup is EDM @ TOR.  Look, if you can fit Matthews, Draisaitl and or McDavid in for cash, go for it.  I expect this game to have a lot of scoring. They are all very playable, but also expensive. They will be highly owned as well.
