Commanders coach Dan Quinn said Jayden Daniels (elbow) has not yet been cleared for contact.
Quinn said Daniels was "ripping" throws today and that the team will take it to "later in the week" before deciding if Daniels will play in Week 14. The Commanders coach mentioned it as "functional contact" the ability to stiff arm and make football moves. It sounds like Marcus Mariota has a real chance at getting a Week 14 start if the Commanders have not yet made a decision on Daniels playing on Monday. Mariota would be a worthwhile superflex start against the Vikings, while Daniels would obviously make the QB1 line if he were ready to go. We'll probably get another update on this Wednesday.

J.J. McCarthy On Track For Week 14 Return
Vikings HC Kevin O'Connell said Monday that QB J.J. McCarthy is symptom-free and expected to clear concussion protocol on Wednesday. Barring a setback, he'll be under center for this weekend's game vs. the Commanders. QB Max Brosmer was predictably a disaster in Seattle yesterday, averaging 4.2 yards per attempt with four INTs on 30 passes. So we can't call McCarthy's return bad news for the offense, but this remains a unit to have very little faith in. The matchup is at least good against a Commanders team sitting 30th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs and 26th vs. WRs.
