The Chalk Board | DFS Ownership Pivots

Moving off the chalk has always been a guide to success in DFS. Let’s explore what the simulation and projected ownership say about where we can pivot from the public and gain an edge on the field.

Quarterbacks
DraftKings – Jayden Daniels is running away with it in ownership. Maybe slightly boosted because of the Q on Brian Robinson but the Panthers are so bad you can play ’em all. I will have Daniels and eat that chalk all day. Looking down the line Cousins, Geno, and Darnold get the rest of the exposure letting a bunch of other great options in under 10% owned. I’m interested in Purdy, Stroud, and Love outside of chalk. Minnesota D has been good, off a buy, at home, Detroit missing Hutch… Darnold to Jefferson all day. Still on my Danny Dimes BS too.

Fanduel – Hurts gives me a touch of extra love here as the Barkley revenge narrative might be over blown.

Running Backs
DraftKings – Chalk is hard to avoid as a couple of my favorite plays will be popular with everyone. Chuba, Pollard are near locks for me. Bijan I think can be pivoted from and Kenneth Walker felt under owned early but has snuck into the #2 spot in projected ownership and I am moving my shares of that game over to DK Metcalf. Kyren I love but his ownership combined with being over 8k seems like an easy pivot and all optimizers seem to love Aaron Jones but even without Hutch I am avoiding RB against the Lions. Brian Robinson is a lock if he gets 100% clearance. I really like ownership pivots to Mixon up top, Ekeler if BRob is out and Hunt in the late game being ignored when the Niners can be beat by quick drops to runners out of the backfield.

Fanduel – Mixon pops even more as a pivot at Fanduel and Achane is just so cheap you have to put him in.

Wide Receivers
Draftkings – Pivot up time as AJ Brown shreds the kind of defense he will see in New York, Nabers will not be high enough owned and give me either Cinci WR to round out my guys up top. Chalk is fine on Jefferson who has a history of killing Detroit. JuJu, London, Terry all way up there in ownership but you are going to find them in my lineups this week while we can save money on a bunch of guys like Noah Brown, DJ Turner, Tre Tucker.

Fanduel – Very similar as above but let’s give a shout out to any piece you want to try from Carolina as we get two face paced teams in a blow out special. Johnson if he plays, Legette, shoot even Sanders or Coker if you want to get a little cute and spend up elsewhere.

Tight Ends
I like exactly 3 guys unless you are pairing with QB or game stacks and those are Bowers, Kittle, and Ertz. Don’t think too hard here. Ertz has elite TE Usage but just hasn’t had that TD game yet… could be this week.

DefensesI am pretty much locked in on the Giants as I like to pay down.

Recent News

DJ Giddens caught 0-of-1 targets in the Colts' Week 2 win over the Broncos.
This game remained close from start to finish, so the Colts never had a clear opportunity to get their backup rookie running back a few touches. Giddens did not rush the ball even once. On the plus side, fellow backup Tyler Goodson (elbow) was inactive for this one, suggesting Giddens is ahead of him on the depth chart at this time.

Michael Wilson caught 1-of-2 targets for 11 yards and a touchdown in the Cardinals' Week 2 win against the Panthers.
Wilson's lone reception went for a touchdown. He continued operating as Arizona's WR2 behind Marvin Harrison, Jr. He used his big frame to box out a Panthers defender on his touchdown grab, his first since Week 14 of last season and only his fifth since the start of the 2024 season. Wilson won't be fantasy viable unless MHJ misses time this season.

Travis Kelce: Leading receiver Sunday
Kelce had four receptions on six targets for 61 yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Eagles.

DK Metcalf: First TD as Steeler
Metcalf recorded three receptions on six targets for 20 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Seahawks.

Adams recorded six receptions on 13 targets for 106 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's 33-19 win over the Titans.
