Trade Hub – Week 6

Happy Monday, October 7th and welcome back. It’s time to talk trades in my weekly Trade Hub article. Mike here ready as always to help you with trade suggestions that can help your chances of winning your fantasy league. Follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard) for all things fantasy football.

Monday Night Football tonight concluded week 5 for us with a matchup between the 2-2 New Orleans Saints and the 4-0 Kansas City Chiefs. The Game is in KC where the Chiefs are favored by 5.5 points with an over/under of total 43.5 points. My prediction is a 24-16 win for the Chiefs. Give me all the Kamara fantasy points and feel like a Kareem Hunt TD could be coming.

Always make sure you’re aware if or when your league has a trade deadline. Try to sell and/or buy players with strategy and the use of your persuasion and negotiation skills. Here are some players to buy and sell before week 6 begins. Like I always say, one trade could be the difference in winning or losing your fantasy football league.

PLAYERS TO BUY

Deebo Samuel – San Francisco 49ers

Deebo Samuel is on a loaded offense which has hurt his fantasy outlook the last 3 weeks. He didn’t play in week 3, he was held to 72 total yards without a TD in week 4 and last game he totaled just 20 yards. It feels like any offensive player on the 49ers can go off or be a bust any given week. Well, Deebo is too talented to think he will stay producing 20 yard games and not scoring TDs. Yes, he has other playmakers around him, but he is worth playing and starting each week and now might be the best time to buy as low as he will get.

Breece Hall – New York Jets

Since week 3 concluded, Breece Halls stats have significantly declined. In his last 2 games he has just 27 total rushing yards and 28 total receiving yards without any TDs. If you can convince Hall’s owner that this will become a regular thing, do it and buy low. Unfortunately, it won’t be that easy as he is a star and almost too talented to not feed the ball to. Jets have a mixed schedule coming up as to opposing defenses, but their final 4 or so games look like fantasy playoffs heaven for a RB. Good luck.

PLAYERS TO SELL

Mark Andrews – Baltimore Ravens

Andrews caught 4 of 5 targets for 55 receiving yards in week 5 which basically matches his best game in week 2 where he had the same stats minus 4 receiving yards. That is not going to cut it as a TE1 in fantasy this season. He didn’t score or even catch a target in weeks 4 and 5. Isaiah Likely only caught 3 passes and 2 of them went for a TD. Sell Andrews asap before you’re stuck with him all season and not knowing to bench him or drop him. Sell for what you can get.

Christian Kirk – Jacksonville Jaguars

Kirk had his most receiving yards on the season last game with 88 yards. Kind of wild when he only was targeted and caught 4 passes this week. He saw a season low in offensive snaps playing just over half of the time. Both Gabe Davis and Brian Thomas Jr played more snaps. If the Jacksonville Jaguars keep having to play from behind you could be lucky and Kirk gets a little value, but other than that his snap count is trending in the wrong direction and Brian Thomas seems to be the go-to guy alongside Etienne and Bigsby now. Sell while the stock is highest.

Rhamondre Stevenson – New England Patriots

Stevenson fumbled 4 times in his first 4 games this season. He lost his role to Antonio Gibson this week as RB1 and Rhamondre’s usage is decreasing. He was able to rack up 89 rushing yards including a rushing TD, so it is a great time to sell high. The Patriots don’t have the most RB friendly immediate schedule coming up so its time to try selling him to that Patriots fan in your league.

Recent News

Chargers WR Ladd McConkey (biceps) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
McConkey popped up on the Chargers' first injury report of the week with a biceps injury. He was not visibly hurt in the Chargers' Week 2 win over the Raiders, making his inclusion to the injury report an eyebrow-raiser. We don't have much information on the injury yet, so fantasy managers should stay tuned throughout the week for updates. Keenan Allen and Tre Harris will see boosts should McConkey miss Week 3 against the Broncos.
