Punt Plays DFS

Deep dives on extremely low ownership plays and punt values you might consider to be able to pay up for that extra stud. As always, play with caution and use no more than one of these under most circumstances.

Quarterback
Draftkings – DeShaun Watson coming off a solid effort and rekindled connection with Amari Cooper gets one of Coopers former teams that has a completely ineffectual running game and down big weapons in Adams and Crosby. I like the game for Cooper, Ford, and a sneaky play you might be alone on in Watson.

Fanduel – Fields stands out here as my #7 project QB on Fanduel but the #4 cheapest play.

Running Back
Draftkings – No one stands out as a slam dunk so I will take a punt play on Roschon Johnson that seems to be working towards RB1 in Chicago at bargain basement pricing of $4100.

Fanduel – It’s not exactly a deep punt play but I have Jerome Ford scoring similar points as Jonathan Taylor, Najee Harris, and Aaron Jones and more than Chuba Hubbard who are all very popular but Ford looking at under 1% project ownership. Slam dunk pivot opportunity.

Wide Receiver
Draftkings – I am not sure I have ever seen ownership projections at 0.02% before, but Xavier Legette has somehow done it. Thielen is out, Diontae is massive chalk and banmged up and Mingo is, well, mingo… He already had a game earlier with 7 targets. I am in on this play at $4800 that allows you to walk away from Michael Wilson, Greg Dortch chalk.

Fanduel – Same play as above.

Tight End
Draftkings – Jordan Akins makes all the sense at $3000 with the same projections and zero ownership compared to Tremble or Strange in the same price range.

Fanduel – I’m not into the punts on Fanduel Tight Ends so let’s stick with Hunter Henry as a pure value play.
