Thursday Night Showdown

You can look at this matchup and see the lowest total on the week. You can look and see obvious low scoring Defense as Captain builds. You can look at this matchup and think this is the end of Joe Flacco’s fun little resurgence. Sure, all of those things are possible and probably even likely. I can also say the field will be right there with you on DraftKings and FanDuel.

So I say let’s go a different route and load up on the possibility of a game with some scoring! You might lose all these entries but you will be in much better shape with ownership if it does go that way.

I am going to attack with Cleveland guy because they have been consistent and reliable. I want Flacco and Njoku especially and am not afraid to go Cooper even in a tough match up, he has seen 10 targets a game on average since week 10. These two guys have been basically the only options that Joe has looked to each game. On the other side is my favorite play of the night in Breece Hall. I have his median and ceiling projections the highest on the night and will be eating that chalk. I think you can also count Jerome Ford as an excellent play against a weak run Defense and though I also like Kareem Hunt, I prefer Ford tonight. Both kickers are firmly in play for me as well as Garret Wilson and a very mild exposure to Tyler Conklin. Flyers will go to Xavier Gipson and Cedric Tillman to round out my lineups.

Absolutely there is a higher chance of lineups based on low scoring game scripts with Defense, Kickers and Running Backs as the focus cashing tonight. But also those thoughts will be way more likely to be duplicated and cap your winnings. We are running out of games to play so let’s go after the big score.

I’m strongly leaning to 4-2 or even 5-1 builds tonight to differentiate as most low scoring affairs see 3-3 builds be the most common. I am going more heavy on Browns then Jets and hoping for some scoring.

Players I like in order of ceiling scoring:
Breece Hall
Amari Cooper
David Njoku
Joe Flacco
Garrett Wilson
Jerome Ford
Trevor Siemian
Elijah Moore
Tyler Conklin
Kareem Hunt
Cedric Tillman
Xavier Gipson

Obviously I prefer Cleveland over New York’s Defense and I think either kicker is fine and project about the same.

Make sure you correlate properly, I want Kickers with my passing attacks, I want Defenses with my Running Backs and avoid the very low upside Captain plays!

Please remember this is a risky strategy but one that when it hits, will pay off big.

Good Luck!

Packers WR Jayden Reed said on social media Tuesday that he had successful surgeries on his collarbone and foot. We knew he was getting his broken collarbone fixed, but Reed also addressed what's been reported as a Jones fracture in his left foot. It's unclear if that surgery changes Reed's 6-8 week timetable for return. We'll look for further updates on his status. Reed is not a must-hold in fantasy leagues with shallow benches.
