Christmas Slate

The question here really is to Eagles or not to Eagles. I have had some pretty epic wins in 3-gamers and most have been from ignoring a favored matchup completely and taking upside shots on stacks that could pay off equally well at lower ownership and using the extra salary to pay up in key spots.

I am in favor of the Philly Phade honestly. I find myself continually looking at Rashee Rice over Davonte Smith and I just can not make my lineups look appealing with Hurts and Brown together. I have interestingly enough found a naked Hurts lineup a few times that I can line up with Christian McCaffrey, Pacheco, and Rice that I don’t get sick looking at!

For a game to fade, I see any of the 3 games being a candidate if that’s a strategy you’d like to give a go to.

I’m really starting to feel good about playing Hurts alone, but other than that I like any of these guys. Hurts should get the most ownership but I really don’t see a huge difference in points between the other 5 guys. Purdy continues to be under priced, DeVito might come in second most owned but the savings are worth it, and I really only am fading O’Connell.

The only real issue I am coming across is I don’t like the lower range value plays, I don’t like any discount RB’s and there is exactly 1 cheap TE that I like.

Don’t get me wrong on Philly wide outs, I like them but the price point is tough to build around. I am out on Adams with Snead most likely shadowing him. Snead is giving up just barely over 50% of targets with ZERO touchdowns given up on the year.

I will be focusing on the BAL/SF game and hoping the excellent defenses on both sides scare off ownership.

QB plays in order I like
Hurts (Solo)
Purdy
Lamar
Mahomes
DeVito

WR
Rice (Lock)
Deebo
Aiyuk
Meyers
Flowers
Beckham
Slayton

RB
CMC
Pacheco
Jacobs/White

TE
Kelce
Kittle
Waller
Hooper (Mayer is out)

It is certainly uncomfortable fading the top projected offense of the slate, but you will have unique lineups and if the Eagles lay a dud you are in a great position to bring down the late night hammer.

Cheers!

Recent News

Chargers WR Ladd McConkey (biceps) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
McConkey popped up on the Chargers' first injury report of the week with a biceps injury. He was not visibly hurt in the Chargers' Week 2 win over the Raiders, making his inclusion to the injury report an eyebrow-raiser. We don't have much information on the injury yet, so fantasy managers should stay tuned throughout the week for updates. Keenan Allen and Tre Harris will see boosts should McConkey miss Week 3 against the Broncos.
