Waiver Hub – Week 12

Happy week of Thanksgiving and happy week 12 to all! Mike here, welcome back to my weekly Waiver HUB. Follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard) for all things fantasy football throughout the season.

Last night we got the Superbowl rematch between the Eagles and the Chiefs and it didn’t disappoint. The Chiefs took a 17-7 lead into the half with the Eagles looking bad on offense and allowing sacks at will. Come the 2nd half Jalen Hursts led his team back from a double-digit deficit and beat the Chiefs in their home stadium. I would like to see this matchup again in the Superbowl if the season continues to play out like it has. The Chiefs have the Raiders next and the Eagles have the Bills next. Next Monday we get a game between the Bears and the Vikings. Will be a fun game with Justin Fields and Josh Dobbs running around. The line favors Minnesota by 3.5 with an over/under of 44.5.

It is Thanksgiving week, so we get more Thursday games this week! Feast on food and watch the Packers/Lions, the Cowboys/Commanders, and 49ers/Seahawks.

Go out and make some moves and prepare for fantasy postseason greatness. Injuries are inevitable so here’s another chance to hit the waiver wire and get impactful players. Another week gone, another opportunity to make your team stronger and inch your way to that league trophy and an offseason of bragging rights.

Below are my top waiver wire priorities this week. Go get those available players to help your chances at a championship. Good luck this week and remember to check back every week to stay informed on who you could target off of waivers.

TOP PRIORITY OF THE WEEK

Zach Charbonnet – Seattle Seahawks

Charbonnet is taking over RB1 duties while Kenneth Walker is injured. Still waiting on more news on Walker’s injury, but it sounded like he could be out for a game or 2. Zach had a season high 15 carries after the Walker injury and the rookie has caught 10 of his 11 targets in his last 2 games. The Seahawks schedule is a tough one not going to lie, but Zach should at least currently be RB1 and surprise some people.

Quarterbacks

Jordan Love – Green Bay Packers

Love willed his team to a victory over the LA Chargers this past weekend and threw for 322 yards while doing so. That was his career high in passing yards and just another multi-TD game for the QB. Love has combined for multiple TDs in 7 of the 10 games he has played this season. Jordan gets the Lions next which isn’t a terrible matchup for him. They have played once already this season with the Lions winning big, but Love did have 2 total TDs in that game, he just needs to take care of the ball without any turnovers.

Baker Mayfield – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baker isn’t winning games like he wants to but at the very least he is making the games more competitive and better for your fantasy team. Playing SF is a tough task and Baker took on the challenge and finished with almost 250 passing yards and a TD pass. That broke a streak of 3 consecutive games with multiple TDs. The Bucs still have some favorable matchups before the end of the season including the Colts, Falcons, and Jaguars.

Running Backs

Zach Charbonnet – Seattle Seahawks

SEE TOP PRIORITY OF THE WEEK

Ezekiel Elliot – New England Patriots

Zeke has become more active in the Patriots offense as the season has progressed. He is coming off a 13 carries game which is now his 3rd game with double digit carries and he is good for a couple receptions per game. Patriots are coming off a BYE week and get the Giants to play in week 12. Couldn’t ask for a better spot for a RB2. Elliot is familiar with the Giants and will want to show out.

Wide Receivers

Jayden Reed – Green Bay Packers

Jayden scored his 5th TD of the season on Sunday but this time he scored on a rushing play. Jayden has exceeded 84 total yards in back-to-back games finding the end zone in each. Reed should be in a good spot for the upcoming weeks playing Detroit, Tampa, and the Giants in 3 of hi next 4 games. Reed is leading the packers in receiving yards this season.

Odell Beckham Jr – Baltimore Ravens

OBJ has been playing well. I didn’t think I’d be able to say that at this point in the season but here we are. OBJ has 7 targets in 3 of his last 5 games, scored in 2 of his last 3 games, and had a season high 116 receiving yards in week 11. With the news that Mark Andrews is done for the season or at least the foreseeable future, Odell could be in line for more work along with Likely, Bateman, and Flowers. Just stay healthy OBJ. He has a juicy matchup with the Chargers in week 12.

Khalil Shakir – Buffalo Bills

Shakir is coming off a bug game where he caught 3 of his 4 targets and exploded for 115 yards and a TD. An 81-yard pass play is included in that. Shakir now has 2 TDs this season which is 1 more than his rookie season. Josh Allen throws multiple TDs more often than he doesn’t so Shakir has a chance every game. He is just one of the many mouths to feed on the Buffalo offense so that is always a risk, but with the background drama with Stefon Diggs, Allen might start looking other ways more.

Tight Ends

Isiah Likely – Baltimore Ravens

Mark Andrews catching a pass in the red zone and then bam his season might be over just like that. Likely is going to have to step up in the TE1 spot for Baltimore and fill some big shoes. Likely gets to play the Chargers and then the Rams after their week 13 BYE. 2 great TE matchups for Isiah as we near the fantasy playoffs.

Cade Otton – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Cade has those games of dominance and then he also has games where he seems invisible. Otton scored 2 TDs while gaining 70 total receiving yards back in week 9. Cade has now been targeted 5+ times in 4 of his last 5 games getting in a good groove with Baker Mayfield. It can’t be easy fighting for targets with Chris Godwin and Mike Evans, but he does have 3 receiving TDs which is 2nd most on the team.
