Sunday Night was a strange one, where the Dallas Defense dominated to over 50 points in the Captain slot. I still don’t waste my money playing Defense Captains, as the data shows it hits so infrequently. This will probably be the only time this season it worked.
If you have not read the Thursday article, please go back and read the beginning where I give some data to help with roster construction.

MNF DFS Showdown: Bills at Jets (+2)
My Favorite Plays
Captain
WR, Garrett Wilson – Everyone will be playing Josh Allen in the Captain slot because he easily has the highest ceiling. However, he will be facing one of the best defenses in the NFL, on the road. On the flip side, word out of New York is the chemistry between Wilson and Aaron Rodgers has been outstanding, so I want to roster them both. The savings of dropping to Wilson will allow that to happen.
Flex
QB, Aaron Rodgers – Aaron Rodgers looks refreshed playing for a new team this year. He has a chip on his shoulder, his old OC and a much better receiving corps. I can easily see a Jets upset with Rodgers throwing 3 TD’s
QB, Josh Allen – As I stated above, Allen has the highest ceiling of any player in the game, so he is a must-play in as many lineups as possible. In a game where he will be facing a great secondary, I can see him running a lot.
WR, Gabe Davis – Stefon Diggs is going to get all of the attention from the Jet’s defense, so in lineups where I need to pair Josh Allen with a receiver, I will be dropping down to Davis who is priced at only $7200.
WR, Allen Lazard – There is a reason Rodgers brought Lazard with him from Green Bay and he could easily be a security blanket. As a bonus he is only $6400 on DK.
Bargains
TE, Dawson Knox – I know everyone wants Dalton Kincaid as Josh Allen’s new dynamic TE. But history shows Rookie TE’s have some of the largest learning curves in the game and are rarely successful. Dawson Knox is like an old pullover, warm, comfortable and reliable. Let others pay up for Kincaid.
Defense and Kickers are all in play tonight
