NFL DFS: Sunday Night Football Showdown Week 1

We did well on Thursday Night, cashing most lineups and several FFB members getting a big payday.  Let’s try to keep this rolling into Sunday Night.

If you have not read the Thursday article, please go back and read the beginning where I give some data to help with roster construction.

My Philosophy

Just a few notes I keep in mind when constructing lineups

  • Ownership does not matter for top players (QB1, RB1, WR1)
  • Don’t roster Kickers or Defense in the Captain slot
  • Kickers (Flex) typically outperform other positions at the same salary
  • Play Tournaments only. Embrace the volatility of the GPP!
  • Only play tournaments you can MAX enter. I play 20 max, 3 max, and single entry.
  • Stick to 4-2 and 5-1 lineups

SNF DFS Showdown: Cowboys at Giants (+3)

My Favorite Plays

Captain

WR, CeeDee Lamb – Lamb is easily the best player on the Dallas roster and he had his best training camp yet. The new offense will be simpler and will feature Lamb on most pass routes. Pollard will be another popular Captain, but I worry about his workload and usage as more of a runner this year.

Flex

QB, Dak Prescott – it sounds like Dak is embracing the new offensive philosophy and that it fits his playing style better than Kellen Moore’s offense. If you play Lamb in captain the data says you must play Dak to have a chance.

TE, Darren Waller – The Giant beat writers are all talking about the chemistry between Daniel Jones and Waller. With a lack of receiver talent, he should get a ton of targets tonight. I also expect New York to be playing from behind.

QB, Daniel Jones – I debated Saquon Barkley here, but I like the salary savings and I can do a mini-stack with Waller.

Bargains

TE, Jake Ferguson– Dak loves his tight ends and McCarthy’s offense is tight end friendly.
