NHL DFS: Playoffs 4/21/23

It’s Game 3, so we switch stadiums and travel to New York, Minnesota, LA, and Florida. Florida surprised Boston at home but Boston was the top road team in the regular season and I expect a bounce back. The Islanders are looking to squeak one out from Carolina, who keeps finding a way to win. Minnesota showed their lack of depth and was destroyed by Dallas Wednesday. They should make this a close game at home, but the Stars have the momentum.

Teams to Target

Boston
Dallas
Los Angeles

Favorite Stacks

DAL: Robertson – Hintz – Seguin – Heiskanen
BOS: Bertuzzi – Krejci – Pastrnak – McAvoy
LA: Kopitar – Arvidsson – Kempe – Iafalo

Value Stacks

NYI: Engvall – Nelson – Palmieri
LA: Moore – Danault – Arvidsson

Goalies

Antti Raanta, CAR
Linus Ullmark, BOS

Showdowns

Carolina @ New York Islanders (-120)

O/U 5

We are going to find out what the Islanders are made of tonight. I think they pull it out in a close game, so for a showdown balance your lineup evenly between both teams. This is also one of those rare times you could play a goalie.

CPT: Bo Horvat
Flex: Anders Lee, Matthew Barzal
Flex: Stafan Noessen, Jasper Fast

Boston (-215) @ Florida
O/U 6

Boston is great on the road and rarely loses back-to-back games.

CPT: David Pastrnak
Flex: David Krejci, Tyler Bertuzzi
Flex: Matthew Tkachuk

Dallas @ Minnesota (EVEN)
O/U 5.5

This is a tough one to predict. Even the oddsmakers are having trouble. There has been a lot made about Minnesota playing Marc Andre Fleury, but watching the game Dallas dominated everywhere. It would not have mattered which goalie was in the net.

CPT: Roope Hintz
Flex: Jason Robertson, Jamie Benn
Flex: Kirill Kaprizov

Edmonton (-215) @ Los Angeles
O/U 6.5

This game has the highest implied goal total and the latest spread in favor of Edmonton. McDavid has been quiet, but that can’t last.

CPT: Connor McDavid
Flex: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Roope Hintz,
Flex: Adrian Kempe

Recent News

Chargers WR Ladd McConkey (biceps) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
McConkey popped up on the Chargers' first injury report of the week with a biceps injury. He was not visibly hurt in the Chargers' Week 2 win over the Raiders, making his inclusion to the injury report an eyebrow-raiser. We don't have much information on the injury yet, so fantasy managers should stay tuned throughout the week for updates. Keenan Allen and Tre Harris will see boosts should McConkey miss Week 3 against the Broncos.
