NFL DFS: Monday Night Football Showdown Week 17
Spread: Buffalo -2.5
O/U: 50.5
We finally have a fun game to watch on Monday Night! The issue with a game like this is there are so many players that you want to play. So we need to take a stand and build a lineup that we can enter into a single entry tournament. I am not really interested in maxing out the big tournaments tonight as there are just too many possible builds. For advice on building lineups for large multi-entry tournaments, join us in Discord.
Captain/MVP Picks
Ja’Marr Chase
Chase has accumulated a minimum of seven receptions and 60 receiving yards over his last six games while averaging a touchdown per game, while the Bills have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. The Bills outside cornerbacks combined rank top 10 among teams in missed tackles and first down rate while sitting bottom 10 in stops. Chase plays on the outside 78% of his offensive snaps.
FLEX Picks
Josh Allen
Allen’s upside is just too good to ignore, he is a must roster with his running ability. He is averaging 9 rushes and 56 yards a game in his last 5 outings while throwing for 250+ yards and 2 touchdowns.
Joe Burrow
Burrow is currently the highest ranked quarterback in the game with a PFF score of 90.8. He is 2nd in the league in passing touchdowns (34) and 5th in attempts and passing yards. With Chase in the Captain/MVP slot you have a deadly combo.
Gabe Davis
Rostering 3 of the top players and both quarterbacks we have to start worrying about salary. Stefon Diggs is going t be the popular choice to pair with Josh Allen, but he will also be double teamed the most by the Bengel’s defense. There is a negative correlation between Gabe Davis and Diggs, meaning when Diggs has a bad game, usually Davis has a good game. We are going to take the chance that tonight is a Davis. You can pivot to Diggs but salary will be tight.
Value Picks
Samjae Perine
Perine is only seeing about 35% of offensive snaps, but in a game where we expect a lot of passing and scoring, his talent as a receiver may come into play. He is currently averaging 6 carries and 4 targets a game. If that increases at all or if he snipes a touchdown from Mixon, he will pay off his backup salary. A good pivot here is Tyler Boyd at a few hundred dollars more.
Khalil Shakir
Shakir has been slowly earning more snaps in the slot at he detriment of Isaiah McKenzie. Last week he took the majority of snaps in the second half. In his only game where he saw 45% of snaps, he caught 3 passes for 75 yards and a touchdown. He really is the cheapest rosterable player and will allow you to pay up for the top end players tonight.
